Passionists International is a corporation whose purpose is to promote internationally the vision of the Passionist Family.


Our identity: The "Passionist Family" comprises various Religious Congregations of men and women and lay organizations within the Roman Catholic tradition. 'Passion for life' which characterized the spirit and vision of Paul Daneo, known as St. Paul of the Cross (+1775), is the unifying force of the Passionist Family. By showing God's inclusive love for all peoples, especially those most affected by poverty and injustice, the organisation is called to promote hope, reconciliation and justice for all.


Our goals: Passionists International is committed to working for reconciliation and peace, to strengthening community and social justice, especially among the most dispossessed. We aim to inform and educate our membership and the people we serve about:

  1. Bulletjustice and peace.

  2. promoting respect for cultural differences,

  3. promoting attitudes of care for the earth, including responsible patterns of production and consumption

  4. placing people at the centre of development.


Passionists International aims to work collaboratively with the United Nations and related agencies by:

  1. disseminating UN information resources for the benefit of those we serve;

  2. bringing the concerns of our brothers and sisters round the world, especially the poorest, to inform the decisions of the UN;

  3. Bulletproviding a voice for those without voice.


Our methods:

  1. BulletWe work to achieve these goals through presence to and sharing with people around the world on issues affecting the harmony and sustainable development of the world.

  2. BulletWe continue to develop an interactive network of communication with out membership throughout the world.

  3. BulletWe work to develop networks and work collaboratively with groups and organisations that share similar goals.

  4. BulletWe work to achieve these goals through direct service, education and action to promote healing of body and spirit, and the dignity and equality of all people.
